Once chance out between two... seasons
Dear listeners!
As we wrap up Season 2 and move toward the festive winter months, the crew here at Back to the Double R is going to be taking a few well-deserved breaks to catch our collective breath and plot more diabolical plans. For our loyal listeners who are downloading our episodes the day they drop (and thanks to those who are doing that!), we want to give you a heads up on the coming schedule.
Season 2 takes us through to the end of October. Our plan is to continue releasing episodes on Thursdays, as follows:
• November 4, 2021: No new episode but woodland creatures are lurking
• November 11: No new episode but strange things are afoot
• November 18: Special #2! Let’s go to the library!! We check out The Autobiography of F.B.I. Agent Dale Cooper: My Life, My Tapes—See an important availability note below!*
• November 25: No new episode but we are practicing our musical number
• December 2: Special #3: Movie night!! We pine for our canceled show by plunging into Lynch’s “Fire Walk With Me”
• December 9: Special #4 and a side of fries! “Fire Walk With Me,” continued!
• December 16: Special #5: We duck into the editing room for the collection of FWWM deleted scenes, “Fire Walk With Me—The Missing Pieces”
• December 23: No new episode but we are stocking our hangings by the chimney with care
• December 30: Special #6! Twin Peaks Book Club!! We pore over Mark Frost’s in-depth Secret History of Twin Peaks!
Then… Happy New Year! We’ll dive into Season 3 starting the first week of the January, which feels appropriate. Along the way, we hope to have a few extra goodies in store for you as well. Meanwhile, we’d love to hear from you! You can always drop us a line at BackToTheDoubleR@gmail.com!
*Note that My Life, My Tapes is out of print and can be difficult to track down, so you if you want to read that with us, we recommend you start trying to track down a copy now! It’s fairly expensive to buy online, but many libraries do have it.
